The Grosse Pointe Red Barons is a community and volunteer led youth football and cheer program focused on the physical, mental and social development of our athletes.
Red Barons athletes range in age from 6-13 years old. The coaches for both cheer and football boast decades of experience and knowledge. Our goal is to build a foundation of skills and fundamentals critical to prepare our athletes for the next level of competition on the field as a great community members and leaders.

2023 Season Information
Summer: Conditioning Camp. Football and Cheer camp will be in July. Details and registration information will be emailed and posted on facebook. Additional local camps are also posted on the tab at the top of the page.
The football equipment pick up date will be shared as soon as details are available. No equipment will be distributed with out all paperwork completed in full. This includes TWO copies of the athletes' birth certificate and a current MHSAA physical. MHSAA physicals need to be dated after April 1st of the current year.
Practices will be held on the University Liggett School football field. Due to inclement weather immediately preceeding special upcoming events (i.e. cheer competition, etc), a change in location may occur to allow for stunting practice, etc. In that instance, the team(s) will be notified through the designated online app.
Preseason practices typically run Monday - Friday approximately 5-7pm. Once games begin, football practices typically run Tuesday - Friday and the hours gradually reduce as the days grow shorter. Please note that all practice schedules will be set by the Head Coach based on the coaching staff's ability to attend. Any adjustments to the schedule will be fully communicated via the designated app.
Practice begins the first week in August.
